Although the Society was founded by college teachers
and has always had its office on a university campus, it is not exclusively academic in its
membership. Its members are doctors, lawyers, bankers, ranchers,
farmers, businessmen and women, and housewives. Anyone may
join, whether a resident of Texas or not.
Libraries and other institutions may also join and receive our publications.
