Texas State Historical Association

The Texas Folklore Society will participate in a joint session with the Texas State Historical Association at their  meeting in Austin during on March 26, 2009 (Session 11, 4:00 p.m., Meeting Room 1). The theme of the session is Texas Folklore and Its Preservation.

Linda Wolff (Victoria, Texas) will present her paper "Use it Up. Wear It Out. Make It Do. Do Without: Living through Depression and War." 

Kenneth Davis (Lubbock, Texas) will give his paper "Central Texas Canning Customs in the Thirties and Forties."

Secretary-Editor Ken Untiedt (Nacogdoches, Texas) will present a paper entitled "Epistolary Evolution: The Challenges of Preserving our Folkloric Heritage in Spite of Technology."
